Question: Does scalding seeds with boiling water affect germination?

Hypothesis: If boiling water is applied to germinating seeds, then the germination process will stop because of the excessive heat killing the embryos.

Safety: Use mitts when grabbing cup that holds warm water, do not eat seeds (alive or dead)
