Scalding Seeds

In conclusion, my hypothesis was conclusive. In my hypothesis it states "If boiling water is applied to germinating seeds, then the germination process will stop because of the excessive heat killing the embryos." This is perfectly portrayed on my data table, with boiled seeds not germinating at all. This happened because the seed cells were killed by the intensive heat, letting none of them germinate. Out of the 57 seeds that germinated, 17.6 was the average amount. This experiment really shows how if an organism isn't in its regular environment, it won't have a high survival rate. If I were to do this again, i would change the boiling water to be a little above freezing temperature.
